Head Coach - Jon Cutright
"We've come a long way since my first year when we only had two runners. We've turned it around and we're very competitive now. It's exciting to see the program grow like it has and become competitive. We're looking to add more talented runners through the recruiting process and continue to get better." - Juniata Cross Country Coach Jon Cutright
Jon Cutright has been a part of the Juniata athletic program for more than a decade. Cutright became the head coach of the women's cross country program prior to the 1993 season and has guided the men's program since 1999. He took over as the men's cross country squad following a decision by the College to add the sport back into the fold for the 1999-00 school year.
Juniata has enjoyed several productive seasons in the recent years, including back-to-back third-place team finishes at the 2005 and 2006 MAC Championships. Juniata claimed a pair of All-Conference performances at the conference championships in 2005 and in 2006, and also earned an All-Region performance on the season. The Eagles have finished in the top-eight in the MAC each of the past four seasons under Cutright's direction.
Cutright also serves as the men's and women's track and field coach at Juniata. He took the job as the head of the track program prior to the 1998 spring season. He was the assistant track and field coach for both the men and women for three years before moving up to the head post.
Cutright is a 1992 graduate of Ohio University and he received his master's degree in athletic administration from the same institution in June of 1993. He was a two-time letter winner in cross-country at Ohio U. and he also earned a monogram for track and field. He placed seventh in the 800 meters at the 1992 Mid-American Conference championship. Cutright is single and resides in Huntingdon.
