Head Coach - Dan Dubois

Dan DuBois

Dan Dubois assumed the head coaching role for the Juniata men's soccer team in January 2007. He has spent the past three seasons as an assistant coach for the Juniata men, and also served as an assistant for the Juniata women's program in 2006.

The Juniata men's team won 16 games during his three seasons on the sidelines and had two wins and a tie in conference action. Juniata's six victories in 2005 tied the program record for the third-highest victory total in a season. In his one season as an assistant for the women's team Dubois helped the Eagles establish a new program record for victories in a season as the team finished with a record of 10-8-1 in 2006.

Prior to arriving at Juniata Dubois spent two seasons as the head coach at his alma mater Southern Vermont College. He guided a young Southern Vermont team to a record of 6-27-1 over his two seasons. He was also an assistant coach for one season at Southern Vermont.

Dubois earned his degree from Southern Vermont in the spring of 2001 after competing four year’s for the soccer program. Dubois was a four-year starter and was the captain his senior season during his career. He ranks third in school history in points, goals and assists. He scored 34 goals, and added 20 assists for 88 points during his four-year career. His play earned him two-time second-team conference all-star status. As a junior he established a new program record for consecutive games with a goal.

Associate Head Coach - John Mumford

John Mumford has been a member of the Juniata College men's soccer coaching staff since 1989.

He was an assistant coach with Chris Noyes in 1989, before taking over possession of the program from 1990 through the 1999 campaign. The Eagles posted a 51-115-10 during his 10 years as the program's mentor. He has held the title of Associate Head Coach since the 2000 season.

Mumford guided the Juniata soccer squad to its most productive times in the history of the institution. The blue and gold booters managed just 19 victories in the 11 seasons prior to Mumford’s appointment as head coach. In his first three seasons as the Juniata boss, the squad registered 17 wins, including a school-record 10-9 mark in 1992. It was the program’s first .500 or better campaign.

successful high school and college soccer player, Mumford graduated from Elizabethown College in 1982. He started at wing midfield for two years in the Blue Jay program and played on the 1979 MAC championship team. Mumford was also on two teams that advanced to the NCAA Division III playoffs. He coached youth soccer in the Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania area before coming to Huntingdon.

He attained his USSF C license in 1994 and his NSCAA national diploma in 1998. In 1999, Mumford picked up his Advanced National Diploma from the NSCAA.

In addition to his soccer coaching duties, Mumford is the Library Director at Juniata.
