Head Coach - Jeremy Price
Jeremy Price became the head coach of the Juniata men's volleyball program prior to the start of the 2006 academic year.
In his first season at the helm of the Juniata program he helped the team make history as the Eagles claimed their record fourth-consecutive Molten Division III Men's Invitational Volleyball Championship. The Eagles also reached the quarterfinals of the EIVA Tournament and placed four players on the AVCA Division III All-America Team. Juniata went 17-9 in his first season, which leaves his career men's coaching record at 17-9.
Price has been a coach at the collegiate level since 1999 with his longest coaching tenure coming as the head coach for the men’s club volleyball program at The United States Naval Academy. Price spent six years guiding the Midshipmen and compiled a record of 151-81 during the time. He was selected as the 2001 Centennial Conference Coach of the Year and coached a pair of players to Centennial Conference Player of the Year Honors. Navy also found itself ranked in the top-10 in the NIRSA national rankings in 2000 and the team captured five tournament victories with Price at the helm over the course of the 2004 and 2005 seasons.
During his time at Navy, Price also spent one season as the coach of the women’s volleyball team at the Community College of Baltimore County-Cantonsville. During that season he guided the team to an eighth-place finish at the NJCAA National Championships, the highest finish in the program’s history. The team also captured a regional championship and tied for first in the conference during the season, and Price was tabbed as the regional coach of the year.
He began his coaching career with a four-year stint as the head coach of the girls varsity program at Bowie High School. During those four seasons he helped the team claim four regional and county championships, and earn its first-ever appearance in the state finals. Price coached seven players who moved on to the collegiate level, including three players who competed at Division I institutions. Most recently he has served as the head women’s coach at Goucher College where he spent two seasons prior to coming to Juniata.
Price was a three year member of the men’s volleyball team at the University of Maryland where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in history. A two-year starter, Maryland was 100-14 during his three-year career and claimed the 1996 Men’s Volleyball NIRSA National Championship. He recently earned a master's degree in education from Goucher College. Price and his wife reside in State College.
