Bio
Megan is simply the best libero in the country. She has continued her stellar passing and has improved her extended defense and serving. She is right at the heart of what will make this Juniata team successful. Her leadership as captain will help guide this young team especially early in the year.2008: AVCA Second team All-America honoree... Landmark Conference Specialist of the Year for the second consecutive season, and a First team All-Landmark Conference honoree... led Juniata with 659 digs (4.85 per set), fifth-highest single season digs total in program history... enters her senior season ranked third among Juniata career digs leaders, and needing 341 digs to become the school's all-time leader... recorded 10+ digs in 37 of Juniata's 40 matches last season, and recorded 20-or-more digs on 12 occasions... her season-high of 28 digs came against Washington Univ. (Mo.) in the Teri Clemens Invitational... led the Eagles in service aces with 45 (0.33 per set), with a high of six against Merchant Marine... third on the team in assists with 136 (1.00 per set), setting a season high eight assists versus Christopher Newport... a Landmark Conference Academic Honor Roll selection.
2007: AVCA Third team All-America selection... Landmark Conference Specialist of the Year... First team All-Landmark Conference... led Juniata with 831 digs (6.11 per game), the second-best single season effort in Juniata history and just 11 digs shy of a new school record... in just two seasons, she has 1,454 career digs and ranks sixth among Juniata career digs leaders... ranked 36th in Division III last season in digs per game... recorded double-digit dig totals in 40 of Juniata's 42 matches... set a new career-high of 35 digs in a five-game win against Washington-St. Louis in the Teri Clemens Inviational... had 23 matches with 20 or more digs, and eight with at least 30... led Juniata with 68 service aces (0.50 per game), including five aces against both WashU and Franklin & Marshall... notched 90 set assists (0.66 per game) over the season... a Landmark Conference Academic Honor Roll selection.
2006: Claimed the starting libero position early in the year and never relinquished it as she was picked as an All-Region performer... her 623 digs led the team, and rank as the seventh-highest single-season total in school history... reached double figures in digs in all but three of Juniata's matches, and reached the 20-dig plateau seven times including the national championship match... her high of 27 digs came in the NCAA regional semifinal, and was in just a three-game match... opened her career with seven aces and 13 digs against Christopher Newport.
HIGH SCHOOL/CLUB: A standout in volleyball and basketball at Cumberland Valley... twice selected to the Mid-Penn All-Star team in volleyball, and was a team captain for the squad in her senior season... a nominee for the prestigious Travers Award... at the club level, she played for the R&B Select Volleyball Club.
PERSONAL: Megan's twin sister Molly is also a member of the Juniata volleyball team... daughter of Larry and Carol Sollenberger... POE is business management.
