Head Coach - Scott McKenzie
"The Juniata College women's soccer program stands ready for tremendous growth and success. We have assembled a great group of dedicated student-athletes who are committed to succeeding and achieving our team goals. I'm very excited about the future of women's soccer on College Hill." - Juniata Women's Soccer Coach Scott McKenzie
Scott McKenzie has been the soccer director at Juniata since he arrived on College Hill prior to the 2000 school year. He is responsible for overseeing both the men's and women's programs, including serving as head coach for the women's team.
Since arriving at Juniata, McKenzie has led the women's program to unprecedented success. Juniata has a record of 46-73-8 over his seven seasons. The 2006 edition of the Eagles established a new program record for wins in a season, and reached double figures in wins for the first time as the Eagles went 10-8-1. Juniata has earned six or more victories in six of his seven seasons, after never reaching the six-victory plateau in any of the first six years of the program. The team has claimed at least one All-Conference honor each season since 2001, after never earning an All-Conference honor in the previous seven seasons.
In 2006, Coach McKenzie was selected to join the NCAA Women's Soccer Committee and serve as the Chair for the Mid-Atlantic Region. In this role, McKenzie assists with the NCAA championship tournament selection process and serves as an NCAA administrator at all regional championship matches and at the NCAA national championship tournament. In addition to the championship responsibilities, the committee acts on all legislation that involves Division III women's soccer. Coach McKenzie will serve on this committee until the completion of the 2009 season.
McKenzie, a 1984 graduate of the State University of New York, College at Brockport, was the women's soccer coach at Southern Vermont College from 1992 until arriving on College Hill. During that time, he established a 60-71-10 overall record for a .461 winning percentage. He took charge of a program that had only been in existence since 1988 and within two years had the Mountaineers claiming the institution's first-ever conference title in a women's sport. More impressive was his overall record his final four years (36-31-7), including three 10-win campaigns, and the fact that Southern Vermont advanced to the post-season tournament in each year of conference affiliation under McKenzie.
McKenzie received his national coaching diploma from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) in 1996, as well as his advanced national coaching diploma in 1998. He accepted his goalkeeping institute diploma from the NSCAA in 1998. McKenzie has been affiliated with the NSCAA along with the United States Soccer Federation (USSF).
McKenzie, who also serves as the Director of Coaching for the Huntingdon Soccer Club, resides in Huntingdon with his wife Renata and their two daughters, Kirstin and Shannon.

Following graduation, she worked as a policy associate and publications editor with the Environmental and Energy Study Institute for four years, and spent a year-and-a-half with the National Association of Counties where she focused on indoor air quality and energy efficiency issues.
