- Women's Volleyball Coach, Larry Bock
Larry Bock is one of the most recognized names in collegiate volleyball. His list of accomplishments and awards places him among the most successful volleyball coaches in the country at any level:
- Led Juniata College to the program's first NCAA Division III Championship in 2004 and then another national title in 2006.
- The all-time leader in NCAA women's volleyball coaching victories with a 1,182-182 record over 32 seasons. Bock's 1,182 victories are the most of any NCAA women's volleyball coach regardless of division. His 100 victories as the Juniata men's volleyball coach give him a total of 1,282 collegiate coaching victories.
- American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) "National Coach of the Year" in 1984, 1989, 1993, 2004 and 2006.
- Volleyball Monthly/ASICS "National Coach of the Year" in 1988, 1991 and 1993.
- AVCA "Region Coach of the Year" in 1986, 1989, 1991, 1993, 1994, 1995, 2001, 2003, 2004 and 2006.

- Along with legendary coach Teri Clemens at Washington University (Mo.), he was named head coach of the NCAA 25th Anniversary women's volleyball team.
Bock's 28th season ended with Juniata earning a 3-0 victory over Washington University (Mo.) to claim the program's first NCAA Division III Championship. Juniata then matched the feat in 2006 as the Eagles outlasted Washington 3-2 to claim its second National Championship. The appearance in the national championship match in 2006 was the seventh for Juniata, and marked the 21st time Juniata had reached the national semifinals. Juniata is the only team to appear in all 28 NCAA Division III Tournaments, and the Eagles have advanced to at least the quarterfinal round in each tournament. Juniata's 2006 national championship win gave Bock 78 victories in the NCAA Division III Tournament over his career.
Juniata's 35-5 record in 2008 continued a trend that has existed since the 1980 season in which no Juniata women's volleyball team finished with fewer than 30 victories. Following the 2008 campaign, the Eagles placed four players on AVCA All-America teams, giving Juniata a record 34 All-Americans during Bock's career on the bench. Bock has also helped three players earn Division III Player of the Year recognition, including 2007 and 2008 AVCA Player of the Year Amber Thomas; Carli Dale (2004) and Stephanie Kines (2006) were previous Player of the Year honorees under Bock's tutelage. During Bock's tenure the Eagles have also had four athletes named Academic All-Americans, including Women's Volleyball Academic All-Americans of the Year in 2004 (Carli Dale) and 2008 (Amber Thomas).
Bock has been the head coach since Juniata began varsity competition in 1977. Along with 27 straight conference titles in the MAC and back-to-back championships in the Landmark Conference, Juniata owns a 292-match unbeaten streak in conference play since 1981.
A 1971 graduate of Penn State University, Bock was named the director of athletics at Juniata in July of 1995. He was the head coach of the Juniata men's volleyball team for six seasons (1990-95), but he resigned those duties when he accepted his new administrative role. During his tenure as men's coach, the Eagles posted a record of 100-91 and earned EIVA Division III titles in 1992, 1993 and 1994.
An avid golfer, with all his coaching achievements Bock may be most proud of the fact that he is a three-time club champion at Standing Stone Country Club.
Bock resides in Huntingdon with his wife, Lyn. The couple has two children, Anne and Laura.
