Art History
With a POE in art history, students examine the histories of painting, sculpture, architecture and the graphic arts in relation to such contextual issues as religion, politics, society, economics, gender, philosophy, and culture.
Students begin with the introductory Survey of Western Art course before moving on to the advanced courses in which their written, spoken, analytical, and comparative skills are developed.
