The Early Childhood Education Center is an inclusive environment that blends the Juniata College Program and the Tuscarora Intermediate Unit #11 (TIU) Early Intervention Program.
Inclusion is a practice that supports our anti-bias and developmentally appropriate curriculum. It is based on the philosophy that all children belong together. Teachers and specialists collaborate so that each child benefits from this environment.
The TIU Program provides an
Early Intervention Teacher and two teacher assistants/paraprofessionals.
Other services as required by each child's Individualized Education Plan, such as speech and language therapy, occupational and physical therapy, or vision and hearing therapy, are also provided by the TIU Program.
All services
provided by the TIU Program are free to eligible children
age 3 years up to entrance age for public school.
For more information about
early intervention or eligibility requirements, check the TIU web site (TIU 11) or call 814-542-2501.
