Teachers Abroad: General Information

FAQ
Q: When can I go?
A: All programs are scheduled to run for approximately three to four weeks in the summer. See individual programs for details.
Q: What will I do there?
A: Intensive language classes, classes on culture, cultural excursions and local interest trips, visits with local teachers.
Q: I teach culture but not language. Can I attend even though I would be a beginning language learner?
A: Yes! The programs offer language classes from beginner to advanced levels.
Q: Is there a travel component?
A: Yes! Some in-country trips are included in the program. You may schedule additional travel at your own expense before and after the program.
Q: Where will I stay?
A: Some programs have carefully selected home stays while others place you in a residence hall.
Q: Can I get Act 48 credit?
A: Yes. Completion of requirements in any of the Teachers Abroad programs will give you Pennsylvania Act 48 credit. This will be recognized by a certificate of completion.
Q: Can I get course credit?
A: Undergraduates credit may be available by special arrangement and payment of Juniata tuition. Contact us for details.
