Making travel plans can be difficult, and this information will help you in organizing your plans and transportation. Below is information from the staff at the Center for International Education about how you can travel to and from campus or perhaps to begin your trip during a campus break.
Local transportation can be provided by Maidens Taxi Service. Contact Butch Maidens, Owner/Operator at (814)644-9999. Operating hours are 6:00 am to 3:00 am. Fares: $3.00 for Flag Drop (stopping and picking you up) then $1.50 per mile.
Information on opportunities to travel away from campus with the Center for International Education and other clubs and organizations from around campus. Check back to this area regularly to see what trips are coming up that you can get involved with.
Information to help you in selecting a destination and choosing your accommodation for any trips that you are planning. Take notice of the recommendations and suggestions from other students as they share experiences from their own trips about where to go and where to stay.
Students must leave the halls during times when the campus is closed, this included Thanksgiving Break, Semester Break and Spring Break. You can leave your things in your room during breaks. You don't have to take your stuff even if you aren't here.
What this means for you?
It means you have to leave campus on:
Thanksgiving Break: Wednesday, November 27th by 9:30am and can return on Sunday, December 1st at 9:00am.
Semester Break: Friday, December 13th by 3:00pm and can return on Sunday, January 19th at 9:00am.
Spring Break: Saturday, March 9th by 9:30am and can return on Sunday, March 17th at 9:00am.
