Office No Longer Available on Appserver and Library Upgrades

Due to Microsoft licensing, Campus Technology Services (CTS) has recently removed access to the Office suite of applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) on APPSERVER. APPSERVER was primarily accessed from the Cyber-Cafe machines and the Library. On a positive note, CTS and the Library are proud to announce that we have installed a large number of brand-new Mac Minis. These will be located on the main floor and in the writing center in the ground level. In the end, the Office applications will not be accessible from the Cyber-Cafe machines, but they WILL be accessible from ALL of the Library computers. We hope that you enjoy the faster, brand-new Macs in the Library!

Some students have expressed frustration that they can no longer print a .doc, .xls, .ppt from AppServer because of the removal of Office. If you save your document to your U Drive as a .pdf you can print the document with no problems. The TSC can also help you map StudentPrintJobs to your personal machine!! Stop by the TSC for assistant or follow the directions located here: http://services.juniata.edu/cts/wiki/index.php/documentation-a-tutorials/printing .
