Major Event ................. What a Waste

Not cool of JAB wasting so much paper to advertise for their Major Event. Not exactly the most sustainable thing they could have done. Did they really need to put 20 posters on one bulletin board or would one poster have gotten the message across?

So from what I hear, booking these "performers" cost around $25000, and attendance was upwards of 60 people. So cool, that only puts Juniata about $24100 in the hole for this whole thing. That is without mentioning that I think something like 30 tickets were just straight up given away in Baker. Astonishing. I think there would've been a better turnout if JAB had bundled up all the cash they spent on this and set it on fire on the quad.

Great, now you have given them the idea, and we will have to pay 15 dollars to see it. 20 dollars for non students.

If you all have such a problem with it, why don't you actually go to a jab meeting and offer to help plan next year's event? Otherwise you're really just wasting your breath on something you have no control over. Nice of you to make those that planned it feel bad about themselves though, really in the Juniata spirit there, aren't ya?

Curious Question..
Why is the Major Event always music? Have other types of entertainment been considered?

Yeah why is it always music? I would definitely pay to see a good comedian or even a couple of them

they tried a comedian serveral years back and everyone whined it wasn't music, they get country and it's not rap, they get rap and it's not rock etc.

There are also very frequently comedians at JAB's FNL - events that are hosted on Friday nights. This past Friday there were two comedians - I would encourage you to attend these, they comedians are 90% of the time great!
