Faculty Endowments
Endowed professorships strike the right note for faculty, such as Russell Shelley, Elma Stine Heckler Associate Professor of Music, because endowed chairs or professorships ensure those positions will remain for Juniata faculty.
Faculty endowments include funds for professorships, research and development. Our students can only succeed if they are taught by bright and enthusiastic faculty members. Juniata needs several more endowed and supported faculty chairs. To provide a named faculty chair, a minimum endowment of $1,000,000 is required for existing positions and for a new position the minimum is $2,000,000. For $250,000, you can provide a supported professorship.
Faculty support for research and further development is important providing opportunities for professors to remain current in their fields and encourage innovative approaches to learning and teaching. You can help by creating a fund to provide such support for a minimum of $40,000.
