Gifts at Work

Information For:

Memorial and Honorary Gifts

Memorial gifts are a way to honor and remember a loved one, while also furthering the educational mission of Juniata College. Memorial gifts of any size can be designated toward the Juniata Scholarship Fund or any other Special Giving Program. Please see other naming opportunities. If the deceased established an endowed fund during his or her lifetime, a donor can direct a gift to that fund. To learn more about endowed funds, please visit our endowment page.

There may also be opportunities to name spaces on campus in memory of a loved one. For information on these options, please e-mail Kim Kitchen, Director of Planned Giving.

Make a memorial or honorary gift online.

Memoralize Someone in Founders Hall

Engraved Bricks
For $125 each, donors can engrave a brick to honor or remember family, loved ones, classmates, faculty members and other sources of inspiration, or an organization. Bricks will be engraved and placed in the main walkway from Moore Street to the Founders Hall steps.

Bell Tower Steps
Your gift of $5,000 will be recognized with a plaque that will be located on one of the steps of the bell tower. These stairs will be replaced with a new open staircase, providing a safe and usable entrance to Founders Hall with a dramatic view of the bell.

Designating Memorial Gifts to Juniata College

At the time of death, families may want to suggest in the obituary that donations be sent to Juniata College using language such as this: "In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to Juniata College. Checks should be mailed to the Office of Development, Juniata College, 1700 Moore Street, Huntingdon, PA 16652." We will acknowledge all gifts and periodically provide the family with a list of names and addresses of those who have made memorial gifts.
