I want to take this time to express to you how honored I am to have been selected as a recipient of your scholarship award. Your gracious gifts have provided me with financial assistance when I needed it the most. These hard economic times have impacted us all, but for my mother, single parent of three, the impact has been quite severe. Because of Juniata's alumni, I can enhance my education in the biological and anthropological fields. This knowledge will hopefully one day earn me a place in graduate school where I hope to earn a doctorate degree in Osteopathic Medicine and, from there, fulfill my dreams by becoming a Medical Anthropologist.
When I reflect back on my time spend at Juniata, I will remember the scholarships that I'd received. I will think of you, class of 1960, and be inspired to donate funds for future generations so that other students will have the financial support to reach their goals.
