Program of Emphasis: Spanish and Psychology
Hometown: Spencerport, NY
High School: Spencerport High School
Why I chose to attend Juniata: I chose to attend Juniata because of the awesome reputation it has in the sciences and the extremely friendly environment that exists on the campus.
Clubs and Organizations: Quidditch Club president (running practices, coaching team, implementing strategies, running the club), Strong Voices secretary, Psychology Club, Spanish Club, Intramural Sports, AWOL, Burmese Club.
Most Interesting Class: Psychology of Language. I love language and I love psychology and it combines my interests. I love the class a lot and I learn a ton.
Favorite Faculty Member: Anne Gilman has had a large impact on my life this semester. She is a very kind, thoughtful, and caring person who goes out of her way to try to help students in any way she can. She conveys a lot of excitement while she is teaching and it is evident that she is both very knowledgeable and passionate in what she does. I also love the fact that I will see her at multiple school events (such as my concert choir concert, various games of sports teams, multiple different school-sponsored activities, etc.). She embodies the true "Juniata professor" more than anybody else I can think of and is a great example of why I love Juniata as much as I do.
Thank you!
Dear Parents & Friends,
Your support means so much to me! I work hard every day remembering that so many people are supporting and rooting for me to do well. Without this financial support, I would not even have begun to think about coming to this school. It was extremely important and greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
Andrew Gill
