Program of Emphasis: Early Childhood Education
Hometown: Elverson, PA
High School: Kimberton Waldorf School
Why I chose to attend Juniata: I chose Juniata because I knew from day one that it was going to be the most incredible experience of my life!
Clubs and Organizations: I work for the development office as a caller for phonathon. I talk to alumni, parents, and friends of the College, update their contact informations, and encourage them to contunue supporting the Juniata Scholarship Fund so that all the students who need financial support can be as lucky as me!
Most Interesting Class: The most interesting class I have taken so far is World Religions. It is fascinating because it breaks all the stereotypes about different world views, and I have learned more about diversity than I ever imagined.
Favorite Faculty Member: Drs. Paula Beckenbaugh and Karen Pletcher have been amazing to work with: I think that they set an example for all to follow, and I could not have made it this far without all of their help. These two people truly put the student first, and teach us not how to pass the tests, but how to use what we know in real life.
Thank you!
Thank you so very much for supporting my work as a student. I am so grateful for the money I received. This support allowed me to attend the college of my dreams, and I will always be grateful for this help because it lifted a weight from the shoulders of my entire family.
Gratefully,
Carly Landis
