Why I chose to attend Juniata: I became familiar with the College through my sister, Allison (Estright) Bednash '08. I liked the close-knit community and the many different academic and experiential opportunities Juniata has to offer. Now, in my third year at Juniata, I still believe that I made the right choice and have loved and benefited from every minute of my experiences here.

Clubs and Organizations: Juniata Activities Board, Treasurer Percussion Ensemble, member

Internship: Human Resources Intern, Juniata College. I completed several projects for the Office of Human Resources during Summer 2012. During the academic year, I remain in employment as a student assistant.

Most Interesting Class: Mathematical Modeling because it shows how I can use the mathematical skills I have learned throughout my time at Juniata to describe and answer real world problems.

Favorite Faculty Member: I find it difficult to choose one person to answer this question. There are so many people, both faculty and staff, who I have met and been influenced by. Juniata's faculty is outstanding, and they want their students to succeed - something you may not find (or at least to the same degree of commitment) at other colleges and universities.

Thank you, Class of 1967, for sponsoring my scholarship this year. This scholarship has provided me with the opportunity to attend Juniata while alleviating some of the stress created by the impending loans that must be repaid upon graduation. Juniata is a wonderful place, and it is my goal to be able to give back to future Juniata students the same as you have for me. I can only do that through your generosity.
