Why I chose to attend Juniata: I chose to attend Juniata College because it was a small campus and I felt like all of the people that attend, work at, and support the campus all wanted the absolute best for each other. I also knew that Juniata was a great academic school and would put me in a great place to be able to obtain a job in the future. Because I am an education major it was important to me to know that I was going to a school that would give me benefits and make me look good to future potential employers.

Clubs and Organizations: Juniata Activities Board: As a member I helped out with thie year's Mountain Day and attend meetings every-other week. JC PAWS: I am a member and I participated in raising money for the humane society as well as volunteering my time. JC Republicans: In this club we meet and talk about politics and what can be done around campus to help students recognize the importance of voting. Zumba: In this club I have been able to exercise and dance every Tuesday and Wednesday!

Varsity Sports: Women's Varsity Tennis: I played number three doubles and the singles ladder has not been determined yet.

Most Interesting Class: I think that the most interesting class that I have taken so far would be my European History class with Dr. Belle Tuten. This class interests me because I did not know very much about the topic coming into the class and Dr. Tuten makes the class and the information very interesting. Although the class is mostly lectures and us taking notes, it is the one class that goes the fastest and is always entertaining. The subjects that we cover are very interesting and I have learned so much in that class.

Favorite Faculty Member: I think that my Child Development teacher, Dr. Karen Pletcher, has made the biggest difference in my life. Because I am an education major I have been able to relate to her in many ways and she is a wonderful person. She is very understanding and I always love going to her class. She also truly cares about her students and I know that if I ever had any kind of problem she would be willing to help.

I would like to thank you for giving me this scholarship because without it I would not have been able to attend Juniata College. Juniata was my number one choice and when we first saw the price of it we were not sure that I was going to be able to attend here. Because I received the scholarship I was able to financially afford going to school at Juniata and it has meant so much to me. I would not have been able to have the same academic experiences that I have had thus far without the help of my scholarship.
