Why I chose to attend Juniata: I chose to come to Juniata because of its strong biology program, caring professors, and community-like feel. Juniata is a close-knit group of individuals where anyone can feel at home. To be able to get a high level education in such a comfortable environment is my idea of the perfect college experience.

Varsity Sports: I play centerfield on the Juniata Women's Softball team.

Most Interesting Class: This year I really enjoyed my Functions of Cells and Organisms class. I never cease to be amazed at how living things work and how every little aspect of their environment has an impact on how the organism functions. This class was very interesting not just because of these intriguing complex processes, but also the enthusiasm of the professors. We learned to think about things in new ways and view the world from a different perspective.

Favorite Faculty Member: Although this is her first season with the team, our softball coach Sam Kszepka has had a large impact on me. She pushes me and inspires me to make myself better at everything that I do. She has taught us many lessons that can also apply to our lives outside of softball.

I really want to thank the donors for allowing me to have a scholarship. It would have been extremely hard to afford an education at Juniata without your support. I would have had to attend a much cheaper institution where I couldn't get the same experience that I can get here at Juniata. The level of education that I am getting here means that I will have a better chance of becoming successful in my field, so I want to thank you again for helping me come here.
