High School: Forest Hills High School
Why I chose to attend Juniata: I chose to attend Juniata College because I believed that it would prepare me to succeed in my future career goals. Juniata is unique in that it gives each student a chance to interact with professors, whereas in larger schools students are just a number.
Clubs and Organizations: Colleges Against Cancer-Treasurer Allocations Board Member National Society of Leadership and Success Member Health Occupations Students of America Member
Travels Abroad: I will be studying abroad in the Spring of 2014 at the University of Leeds in the United Kingdom.
Most Interesting Class: I would say that Physics is the most interesting class I have taken this year, and also the hardest. I have never taken a Physics class before college, so literally everything is new to me, and I believe that is why it interests me so much.
Favorite Faculty Member: Dr. Kirchhof-Glazier, who is my academic advisor, has been a huge help to me in figuring out everything that I must do in order to apply to Optometry School. She has helped me with my personal statement, picking classes, and has even helped put me in contact with Optometrists to job shadow.
I would like to extend a sincere thank you to the Class of 1958 for their utmost generosity, which has given me financial support during my time at Juniata College. Without this scholarship, I would have needed to take out additional loans to fund my tuition. The scholarship I have received has made it possible for me to attend this college without having to worry as much about whether or not I will be able to afford it.
