High School: Juniata Valley High School
Why I chose to attend Juniata: I originally attended Saint Francis University my first semester of college, but it just wasn't the right fit for me. I live in Huntingdon and when I came home on weekends from Saint Francis, I'd find myself wandering around the Juniata campus. When I decided to transfer out of SFU, the only place I wanted to apply was Juniata. I realized how intoxicating it was to be on the campus. Everyone is so friendly and it really is like one big family.
Most Interesting Class: The most interesting class I've taken this year is easily BioPsychology. Professor Widman teaches it...need I say more as to why it's interesting? Widman makes the class very interesting with all his little anecdotes. He's very engaging with the class and clearly excited about the material. I also like what a challenge the material is.
Receiving this scholarship made all the difference for me. I can't stress enough how thankful I am to have it. Without this financial aid, there is no way I would have been able to study here at Juniata. Being one of four kids, my parents aren't able to help me financially and my job at McDonald's doesn't exactly bring in a tremendous amount, but thanks to generous donors, paying for my tuition was possible.
