There is no doubt that the von Liebig Science Center plays an important role in my life at Juniata. I believe that the von Liebig building and the theatre will attract many students because these two buildings represent the reputation of Juniata alumni and (students coming to campus will be impressed) even if the students are not yet interested in science or theatre.

Ran received the Nomination Scholarship for Environmental Responsibility. She worked this summer at the University of Pennsylvania in the lab of Arjun Yodh, professor of physics and astronomy.
She has been president and treasurer of the Chinese Club and participates in the Chemistry Club and HOSA. She was elected president of the junior class last year and acted in a play and two play readings. She has done research in the lab of Mike Boyle, von Liebig Chair in Biomedical Research, and at the University of Pittsburgh. She has presented research at the National Conference on Undergraduate Research for the past two years.
