What’s Your Rocky Mountain High? Students’ Ideal Mountain Day
In light of one of the most anticipated days of the year quickly approaching, eager students have already begun to speculate as to when the day will be upon us. However, with such things being about as predictable as the weather in central Pennsylvania, rather than worry about the specific date, some of our very own share their thoughts on what the perfect Mountain Day would consist of.
Q: In your opinion, what constitutes the perfect Mountain Day?
Travis Smith ’13, Warren, Pa.: I suspect Mountain Day will take place on Oct 1 first and I plan on spending it by frolicking, either in the mountains or simply anywhere. Ideally, it will be overcast and somewhere in the 60’s with possibly a rain shower around 1 or 2 p.m.
Nicole Lundberg ’12, Lilly, Pa.: My perfect Mountain Day will be really nice and sunny- perfect weather. It should really be on a Wednesday and I want there to be canoes.
Luke Thompson ’13, Philadelphia, Pa.: I hope Mountain Day is actually tomorrow because I have a bunch of tests. The night before Mountain Day will be a good time because I’m on the wake-up crew.
Marissa Pedro ’13, Philadelphia, Pa.: The first thought that comes to mind is that Mountain Day will be on a Wednesday. I will spend it outside, so even if it’s rainy, I will be outside…probably jumping in puddles.
Charlotte Hekking ’12, Narberth, Pa.: My perfect Mountain Day: I hope the weather is 81 degrees with lots of sunshine and a constant warm breeze. I will dance as much as possible with my best friends.
