Dedicated to the Ones We Love
Valentine’s Day is a day to show appreciation to the loved ones in your life, but for some, the day is just business as usual. Juniata students share what they did for Valentine’s Day:
Nicole Houck ’12, Hollidaysburg, Pa.:
I celebrated Valentine’s Day by writing a 10-page paper, eating a lot of chocolate, and taking an LSAT practice test. I also had a nice Valentine’s Day dinner with some friends.
Tarek El-Magrahabi ’13, York, Pa.:
My girlfriend’s birthday also coincides with Valentine’s Day, so I bought her a dozen roses and took her out for dinner. Standard etiquette, I guess.
Kelsey Myers ’13, York, Pa.:
I spent a wonderful evening in the Pot Shop.
Cynthia Onorevole ’13, Rockaway, N.J.:
My boyfriend I made dinner together in Lesher Lounge. It was nice because we didn’t spend money on gifts and all of the mushy and tacky stuff. We got to spend the night making a delicious meal and having quality time together. It was definitely one of the best Valentine’s Days that I have had.
Jordan Speck ’13, Huntingdon, Pa.:
My boyfriend and I went to the Hibachi restaurant, Sakura, in Altoona for our big dinner. We also made dinner at his house on the actual day.
Rachel Walman ’13, Pittsburgh, Pa.:
I sat alone and I wept without a bouquet of flowers.
