Paging Readers: Juniata Students Offer Book Tips
Recently, I had the opportunity to ask students which book they have read in the past year that they enjoyed the most, or felt the most affected by. Here are their recommended must-reads:

Rachelle Wiegand ’14 Manheim, Pa.: “Man’s Search for Meaning, by Victor Frankl, gives insight to what the victims of Nazi concentration camps experienced. The author takes a psychological perspective that explores the minds of the victims.”
Matthew Fritz ’12 Schnecksville, Pa.: “Kill Alex Cross, by James Patterson, is the latest novel in Patterson’s thrilling series that I felt I must read.”
Corey Lacey ’14 Baltimore, Md.: “The Hunger Games, by Suzanne Collins, was a great read because I loved the characters, and the plot was exciting. I could not stop reading!”
Taylor Whetsel ’15 Indiana, Pa.: “The Rosary Girls was an interesting read because the plot of the (detective case) story kept me guessing as to who the murderer was until the very last chapters.”
Holly Brandes ’12 State College, Pa.: “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, by Stieg Larsson, contains characters that have complex relationships, not only with each other, but within their own individual psyches. The book is intriguing, perplexing, unique, and hard to put down.”
