What a FABOLOUS weekend!

So… yes I know how to spell the word fabulous, but in my title I am not refering to fabulous in that sense. This weekend, Fabolous the rapper was here and did a concert for Juniata! Black Violin opened for him and they were cool too. Unfortunately however, Fabolous was about 2 hours late and boy was it hot in the gym waiting for him! Every year we have a big concert at Juniata and this year obviously it was Fabolous. It was a really good time and the place was PACKED!

Another event that is coming up in the near future is “Relay for Life”. Each year, a bunch of different teams come together and walk around our track all while trying to raise money to cure cancer. This year I am doing the walk in honor of my grandma. She means so much to me and I am really trying to raise as much money as possible. If you would like to donate, please visit my personal page at:

the walk is on April 12-13 and every little bit counts! I also want to thank my Aunt Jody and my parents for sponsering me thus far.  We are all affected by cancer somehow so please donate!!!

There aren’t too many other major things going on in my life as of now. Tonight was another episode of the Hills and last night was Rock of Love. Those shows are AWESOME! Tonight we had Megan and Kelly come over to watch them and it was amazing. There were 2 episodes tonight! Before the Hills, kelly and I were working on physics homework for about 2 hours! It was probably the hardest homework that we have ever done!

So luckily my incision is so much better! It has scabbed over and is no longer split open! I have a doctor’s appointment in about a week so hopefully this will be the last of my appendix worries!

Other than that, nothing else has really gone on. The semester is coming to a close and we only have about 4 weeks left of classes. I will be writing a couple more times before the end of the semester so no worries!

It has been a while!

So I haven’t written in FOREVER! And boy do I have a lot to write about. So I think that the last time I wrote, I was talking about the giants in teh play offs?? Well since then the giants have won the super bowl!!!! We had a super bowl party and it was CRAZY!!!! We made some pizza, nachos, dip and had wings delivered. We were so nervous that the giants were going to lose towards the end that we honked our air horns every time the giants made a good play and we were out of air by the time they won the game! It was total craziness. The same weekend of the super bowl, Breanne moved out. The previous weekend there was an issue that arose and Breanne moved out and she doesn’t attend Juniata now. Her and I haven’t kept in contact so I am not sure if she will be back next year, but I am assuming she will be. I have to admit though that it is nice have a room to myself because I missed having my own room while I was at school. After Breanne left, life at Juniata slowed down and I became extremely busy with school work. The semester started to pick up and so did the work load. I began writing papers and speeches, and started studying for tests. Right after my first round of tests I actually got sick and ended up in the hospital. I wasn’t feeling well one day and I stood up in lab and I almost passed out and I felt nauseous. My friend Kelly took me to health and wellness and they thought it was my appendix. So I went to the hospital and I had to wait 4 hours until I saw a doctor! Nobody at the hospital took me seriously until they got my CT-scan results back which showed that my appendix had ruptured. Needless to say, I was in teh hospital for 5 days recovering. The surgeon told me that my appendix hadn’t perforated, but was leaking pretty badly. My parents came up and took such good care of me! My friends and John were amazing and I got so many cards and little goodies! My professors were great about everything too! My physics professor insisted on giving me extra time for everything, but luckily I kept up with my work in the hospital and I didn’t need extra time on any of my assignments. I only had about a week of classes and then it was spring break. My brother’s 22nd birthday fell over break and it was nice to be home to celebrate. My grandmother was in the hospital during my spring break, she had surgury. My grandma has cancer and is starting treatment soon. She is in my prayers and we are all staying positive. After spring break I had the craziest week ever! I had a paper due, a speech, and 2 tests! I did really well on one of the tests and not as great as I had hoped on the other, but I know to just work harder next time. St. Patricks day was about a week and a half ago and St. Patty’s day is always fun around campus. Everyone is in green and everyone is out on the weekend!

So I am not sure if you have noticed, but they totally changed the blogging stuff. We have new passwords and everything and you all have to resubscribe if you haven’t figured that out yet.

I went home this weekend and I had an interview with a Physical Therapy place for an aide position. I got hired and this summer I will be working as an aide! There are 3 places owned by the same company and I will be alternating between the three and one actually specializes in pediatrics! I am super excited and I cannot wait for the summer time!

Pam and I have a tradition on Sundays to watch Rock of Love and it is down to the top 4. Our favorite is Ambre and we think she has a good shot of winning! The Hills started on Monday so Megan, Aray, Pam and I watched it! It was so great! I was happy that it was an hour long too! We also watch America’s next top model which is on tonight!

That brings us up to date! Today I had a doctors appointment because I have an infection in my incision. I was on an antibiotic and now I have to just wait for 2 weeks so he can look at it again. Tonight I am meeting with Kelly so that we can discuss our physiology lab write-ups that are due tomorrow. Mine is about 8 or 9 pages and we both just want to peer edit each other’s. The weather is so nice now and it is my favorite time of the year! Pretty soon we are all gonna start going to Raystown Lake, and everyone is gonna be playing frisbee and football in the quad. I like to get smoothies from jitters and just walk around campus. This week a lot of my classes got cancelled so it has been pretty nice being able to relax! Well I am hoping that I can write again once more this week!
