Juniata Students Find Colonial Fort

Everyone at one time or another has played “fort,” constructing a shelter out of boxes, blankets or even kitchen chairs. This summer, armed only with shovels, trowels, sifting screens and brushes, an army of researchers—some were Juniata students or staff—found the remains of a former Huntingdon County fort dating back to 1749.
