When I was a sophomore in ’86-’87, I had the opportunity to taste a few delicious meals prepared by faculty members and support staff. Because of my role as Class President, I was invited to a meal at President Neff’s home. Mrs. Neff had studied Home Economics at Juniata and was a fabulous cook. I still have her recipe for Michaelangelo Cheesecake, but have – alas! – lost her recipe for Crab Dip.
During my French III final exam, our professor (whose name I can’t remember, but he was a delightful Belgian) left the room several times. Upon his final return to the room, he brought hot, homemade chicken croquettes for each of us. He wrote the recipe on the chalkboard in French, which we had to copy and translate if we wanted it; I still have it.
