The Philosophy Department offers an individualized POE in or focusing on philosophy. You propose the program and it is approved by your two academic advisers. The POE requires 15 philosophy courses (for a total of 45 credits). Of those 15 courses, you must take at least six courses (18 credits) at the advanced level, one course in logic and two courses in the history of philosophy.
