Emphasizing a scientific understanding of behavior, Juniata’s Psychology Department requires both research and quantitative skills. Introduction to Psychology, Statistics for Social Sciences and Research Methods in Psychology are the only courses required for a psychology Program of Emphasis (POE), so you’ll enjoy considerable flexibility. In addition to these three courses, choose four of the following five courses: Abnormal Psychology, Social Psychology, Biopsychology, Developmental Psychology and/or Cognitive Psychology.

What Our Alumni Are Saying:

“Here at Juniata, I feel like I’m more of a colleague than just another student, and I have ample opportunities to both earn the respect of my mentors and further myself and my career all at once. Juniata’s amazing professors constantly extend invitations to get involved in research and studies going on."
