BI 399: Eukaryotic Genomics
Eukaryotic Genomics will be focusing on gene expression and population genomics. You will learn by conducting an independent research project using cutting edge sequencing and bioinformatics techniques. In working through your research project, you will be exposed to an array of molecular tools with direct application to your question. Techniques will span both laboratory and computer skills and may include bioinformatics, DNA and RNA isolation, electrophoresis, molecular cloning, PCR, next-generation sequencing, statistics, and computer coding. Prerequisite: BI207 or with instructor's permission.
