Set sail for the tropics with Masters of Caribbean Music, a musical voyage through the cultures of the Caribbean and Caribbean communities in the U.S. The show features the pre-eminent performers from three distinct musical traditions: Puerto Rican jíbaro ensemble Ecos de Borinquén,"Calypso King" the Mighty Sparrow from Trinidad, and Haitian twoubadou band Ti-Coca et Wanga-Nègès.The performance explores the musical ideas, influences, and relationships among these diverse cultures.
