"Take deep breaths and stretch out your stomach muscles before you go see Chicago City Limits"..."you'll walk away holding your aching sides from laughing."Chicago City Limits performs comedy without a net as its members improvise humor based on whim, fantasy and occasional suggestions for the audience. Improvisational theatre has been a staple of live comedy performance for decades, spawning such acclaimed troupes as Second City, the Groundlings and The Committee. Chicago City Limits has been based in New York for nearly 30 years, where it has performed continuously at New York's famed comedy spot, The Improv. The troupe has performed countless shows featuring its veteran cast and have shared the stage with such acclaimed improvisers as Robin Williams, Bill Irwin and Paul Reiser.
