Michael J. Pennington, MHRM, M.Ed.

Michael Pennington has been the Assistant Director of Career Services/Alumni Liaison at Juniata College since September 2011. Mike was the Assistant Director of Student Activities and Residence Director at Juniata College during the 2007-2008 academic year. Prior to coming back to Juniata, Mike was the Job Developer and Head Men’s and Women’s Tennis Coach at Penn State Altoona. He also taught in the Counselor Education Department.

A native of Altoona, Mike graduated Phi Beta Kappa, Magna Cum Laude, from Dickinson College where he double-majored in Policy Management and Political Science. In 2009, he graduated from Saint Francis University with a Master of Human Resource Management degree. Mike completed a Master of Education degree from Saint Francis University in 2010. He is currently pursuing a doctorate in (higher) education administration and leadership studies at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. In 2012, the Altoona Mirror named him a “Top 20 Under 40” Blair County professional.

Mike is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management, National Career Development Association, Pennsylvania Association of Colleges and Employers, American Association for Employment in Education, Eastern Association of Colleges and Employers, National Association of Colleges and Employers, and the Western Pennsylvania Career Services Association.
