General Overview
An awareness of international issues and the ways in which people understand and fail to understand one another requires an appreciation of the complex interactions between the economic, social, political, and cultural variables that affect human existence. International Studies involves a unique, interdisciplinary combination of common experiences, individualized areas of concentration, language study, and study abroad. Related fields include social sciences, political science, economics, interpreters and translators, and service industry management.
