Residence Life
Juniata is a residential campus and, as such, residence hall experiences are designed to complement the formal instructional program. Guidelines for residence hall living are provided in detail through the campus computer network, EagleNet, in the student handbook, The Pathfinder; and in its periodic supplement, The Student Services Newsletter.
With a limited number of exceptions, students are expected to live in college-owned facilities. To secure permission for off-campus housing, arrangements must be made in the prior spring and approval is based on the number of spaces available on campus. Students will not be permitted to move off campus during the academic year. Upper-class residential students choose their rooms on the basis seniority and grade point average (GPA). New students are assigned rooms generally mixed with rooms of upper-class students.
