Campus Leadership Opportunities
Don't forget to utilize the community service transcript notation to showcase your volunteer experiences.
The Bonner Leader Program is designed to heighten the overall education students and members receive by asking them to engage in ongoing service work and helping them develop the experience, skills, knowledge and values necessary to make that work meaningful and lasting. At Juniata College, the Community Service Office recruits first-year students to participate in the Bonner Leader Program at the beginning of the Spring semester.
Juniata offers three different part-time AmeriCorps positions to its students. Students who enroll and complete 300, 450, or 900 hours of service receive an Education Award to help pay off future college expenses or already accumulated student loans. Each AmeriCorps member receives extensive leadership training and networking opportunities. These positions are also available for Bonner Leaders.
