Volunteer Fair (Fall Semester)
Every fall the Community Service Office brings representatives to campus from a variety of non-profit organizations in Huntingdon.
This event gives students an opportunity to seek out volunteer placements that match their personal and professional goals. See our

Make a Difference Day (Fall Semester)
Each year, Juniata students participate in this National Day of Service. MADD brings over 150 students, faculty, staff and community
members together to complete service projects benefiting various organizations across Huntingdon County.
Special Olympics (Fall Semester)
Every October Juniata College welcomes athletes to campus for the Special Olympics Pennsylvania Fall Sectional. Over 150 participants
and 120 student volunteers work together for a day filled with sports, food and fun!
Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service (Spring Semester)
The Community Service Office partners with the Office for Diversity and Inclusion to provide students with an opportunity to celebrate
the legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. through a series of educational and service activities.
Youth Carnival (Spring Semester)
This event is organized each spring and invites area school children to campus to enjoy games, food and activities. Student volunteers
serve as program coordinators and run carnival booths at the event.
Relay for Life (Spring Semester)
The American Cancer Society Relay for Life brings together students, faculty and staff in a campuswide effort to fight cancer.
Participants form teams and fundraise throughout the spring semester. Their efforts culminate with 24 hours on the track spent
walking, camping and celebrating life.
Trash to Treasure (Spring Semester)
Each spring, the Community Service Office partners with local agencies to sponsor this great event. As students move out of residence
halls for the summer they are asked to donate unwanted furniture, household and clothing items to the Trash to Treasure community-wide
rummage sale. Items are resold and all proceeds benefit Huntingdon County United Way and Information & Referral of South Central Counties, Inc.
American Red Cross Blood Drives (Spring and Fall Semesters)
Each year, the Juniata Active Volunteer Association (JAVA) sponsors four blood drives on campus. Over 100 students, faculty and staff
volunteer to coordinate the drive and donate blood. For more information on upcoming blood drives and donor registration visit the
