The weekend camp for junior high individuals and teams will focus on challenging each individual to reach their full potential, to improve upon individual skills as well as leaning new skills.

Sessions include focusing on:

  • Technique drills
  • Dance- for games and performances
  • Sidelines/Cheers
  • Jumps
  • Tumbling
  • Stunting

Please submit registration and deposit by June 29, 2008 to guarantee a spot in the camp.  Individuals are accepted on a first-come basis. Full payment is and medical release forms are due by July 18, 2007.

Head Coach

Coach Launtz has gained experience in cheerleading through participation, judging, and coaching all levels. She is a member of the American Association of Cheerleading Coaches and Advisors. Coach Launtz is National Safety Certified and received certificates from the National Council for Spirit Safety and Education in Coaching Cheer Fundamentals and Cheer & Dance Principals and Ethics.

This is Coach Launtz’ 6 year with the Eagles and has taken the program from a small squad to a team of 16 or more that has gained notoriety within the conference. Coach Launtz is a firm believer in teaching proper technique and safety.


Facilities

Few colleges have a more attractive campus that Juniata. The 100 acres on College Hill provide a magnificent atmosphere and safe environment. Campers are house in one the residence halls on campus and have access to all the amenities in the residence hall.

The camp will utilize one of the many playing fields on campus. The intramural gym and mezzanine areas as well as the mat room will be available incase of inclement weather.

Additional facilities available include and indoor swimming pool, a fitness center and game room.
