The weekend team camp for high school varsity and junior varsity girls’ teams will focus on getting teams attending as much game experience as possible. There will be practice time available, but the goal will be to have teams play as many games as possible over the three days.
The schedule will have teams playing as many as three games on the first day of the session, four on the second and two more on the final day of the camp. Officials will be provided for the games along with scorers and time keepers, thereby allowing the coaches to focus on coaching their teams.

Individuals are asked to make a non-refundable deposit of $100 by June 8 to guarantee a spot in the camp. Full payment and medical release forms are due prior to the beginning of camp.

Danny Young enters her fourth season as the Juniata College women’s basketball coach in 2006-07. She was an assistant coach for the Eagle squad for two season sprior to earning the head coaching job in the summer before the 2003-2004 season.
In her first three years as head coach, Young’s team was 23-50 overall. In 2005, she guided the team to surpass the .500 mark, earning 13-12 overall and a 6-8 record in the Commonwealth Conference. Each year, an athlete has qualified for the Second Team All-Conference Rookie of the Year under Coach Young. One of her athletes also earned the MAC Commonwealth Conference Rookie of the Year in 2005.
Facilities
The Juniata College basketball camp will utilize all indoor basketball courts and facilities. There are eight full courts available, including four in the Kennedy Sports and Recreation Center on the campus of Juniata College. The local high school, located two blocks from the College, has an additional four courts available.
Few colleges have a more attractive campus than Juniata. The 100 acres on College Hill provide a magnificent atmosphere and safe environment. Campers are housed in one of the residence halls on campus and have access to all of the amenities in the residence hall.
Additional facilities available include an indoor swimming pool, a fitness center and game room.
