I was a late admit so I did not have the benefit of meeting new students during summer orientation… 2 girls from my CWS class insisted I have lunch with them every day. Over the semester, I met a lot of great new people who’ve become my closest friends here. As one friend put it – ‘they are my soul mates, partners in crime, and best friends'.

“…I don't think Juniata produces molded products… instead allows each student to create "themselves" by providing a plethora of information. [Juniata] will provide you with opportunities to change and grow… Open yourself to EVERY opportunity that is provided to you and you will definitely get a "Juniata" education.”

Being an African American from the inner city, my first semester at Juniata was challenging - I had never been around so many white people! My initial reaction was to disassociate myself from everyone. However, extended orientation exposed me to other students who later became my friends. The faculty and staff are amazing. They support me in every way. Juniata is my extended family. They want me succeed and are doing everything in their power to help me. I could have not chosen a better college.

“…Entering into my senior year I still find myself transitioning through new experiences and self conceptualization. After each transition at Juniata I have become a better individual and stronger in the quest for my future aspirations."
