"Being an African American from the inner city, my first semester at
Juniata was challenging - I had never been around so many white
people! My initial reaction was to disassociate myself from
everyone. However, extended orientation exposed me to other students
who later became my friends. The faculty and staff are amazing. They
support me in every way. Juniata is my extended family. They want me
succeed and are doing everything in their power to help me. I could
have not chosen a better college."

"It
gives me great pleasure and honor to be a part of this great
institution. Juniata has shown and taught me things beyond my
expectation and beyond my vision. It has helped me develop
academically and socially. One cannot help but fall in love with
Juniata College."
