Open Enrollment 2013
November is the month when eligible employees can make changes to their benefits.
Any changes made during this time become effective January 1, 2014. All employees wishing to add or drop coverage, or continue in Flexible Spending Accounts or the Health Plan Waiver Incentive, must complete election or waiver forms by November 30, 2013.
Human Resources will be holding Benefits Update meetings at various times from November 14-20. You must register in advance for these sessions at secureweb.juniata.edu/training_sessions/index.html. New for 2014:
The IRS has recently announced a revision to the "Use it or Lose it" rule allowing employers to change how Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA's)are administered. Please attend one of the upcoming Benefits Update sessions to learn more about the modifications that will be made to Juniata's FSA plan. Sessions will cover an update on health plan financials, the Affordable Care Act and it's affect on Juniata's health plan, Flexible Spending Account enhancements, and much more.
