Audio/Visual Technician

 

Primary Role

Provides and maintains audio/visual equipment for college classrooms and event presentations. Coordinates and plans events. Consults with others about Audio/Visual purchases/needs.

Typical Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Schedule, deliver, and set-up audio/visual equipment to meet customer needs. Maintains scheduling and usage records.
  2. Instructs and coaches others in the proper use and care of audio/visual equipment.
  3. Performs routine preventative maintenance on equipment. Services and repairs equipment as required.
  4. Update the campus information channel and CTNS satellite on a daily basis.
  5. Performs related duties as assigned.

Supervision Required/Given

Operates independently within established procedures. Works with diverse individuals and customer groups. Provides direct supervision to student assistants.

Position Qualifications

  1. Knowledge and capabilities normally acquired through completion of a high school diploma or equivalent.
  2. One-year experience with audio/visual or electronic equipment repair. Knowledge and competencies of PC software applications used in work processing and inventory and budget tracking.
