If you are passionate about performing arts, this is the retreat for you! Get ready to challenge your creative side through possible activities such as visiting historical Mishler Theatre in Altoona, practicing improv skills, and exploring theatre opportunities at Juniata! Students will also get a comprehensive tour of Juniata’s theatre spaces and some hands-on activities with our theatre professors. Participants of all experience levels are welcome!

Each retreat will also have the opportunity to mingle with other retreats and participate in larger group activities and programs.

**Keep checking in for updates on the Theatre retreat throughout the spring as we move further along in the planning process.

POE: Theatre/Creative Writing, with a secondary emphasis in Education

I like acting, singing, writing, and exploring. I love how Juniata is a smaller school, it makes everything more intimate and makes it easier to get to know your professors a bit. Last year I participated in Jlee [Theatre] Inbound, and my best memory of the experience was the weird excitement of no longer living at home and starting something new. My favorite JC tradition is easily Mountain Day, partially because I am obsessed with kayaking and I don't get to do it nearly as often as I would like to.

POE: Theater and English Application

I'm a huge theater dork who spends a great deal of my free time in the theater building or snuggled up reading a great book. I can be found playing the ukulele around campus or making obscure old pop culture references. Willing to babble on about Disney, comics, and Harry Potter for hours on end so you should probably not talk about those topics if you aren't ready for the commitment. One of my favorite things about Juniata is the fact that you can always find someone who is interested in something you are interested in-as well as all the amazing traditions we have here. My best Inbound memory was the impromptu improv games and talent show we put on for each other. I hope to help Inboundees create more amazing memories and friends that will last!
