Inbound Frequently Asked Questions:

If I am a fall season athlete, can I still participate in Inbound?

Some fall athletes are unable to participate in Inbound due to scheduling conflicts. The athletic camps prior to the fall semester accomplish many of the same goals of Inbound through practice and team building activities. Those teams in preason during Inbound include Men and Women's Soccer, Field Hockey, Women's Volleyball, Men and Women's Cross-Country, and Football. Contact your coach if you have any questions about preseason schedules.

I am a transfer student to Juniata, and not a freshman. Can I still participate in Inbound?

Yes! Inbound is open to all first-year students, meaning “first-year at Juniata” not necessarily those in freshmen class standing. This includes freshmen, transfer students, and new international students.

How do I find out which retreat I am in?

Students participating in Inbound will find out their retreat placement no later than July 11, 2014. We try to place students in one of their top three choices, but cannot make guarantees. Students will be notified via email.

When can I move into my room?

If you are participating in Inbound, students can move in on Saturday, August 23, 2014. You will pick up your room key, Juniata College Gold Card (photo ID), and Inbound information during check-in (location TBD). Check-in and move-in is from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm. Check-in details will be provided closer to Inbound via email.

If you have a problem with that move in date and time (such as if you live out-of-state), please email and explain your situation. Each inquiry is handled on a case-by-case basis, and early move in is not guaranteed. If granted to move-in early, you will be notified by the Inbound staff and you will be able to move in on Friday, August 22, 2013.

What should I bring?

Each Inbound retreat has its own packing list. We will email students the specific retreat packing lists at the end of July/early August.

The Office of Residential Life has compiled the following “What to Bring/What Not to Bring” list for first-year students:

Do I move into my room for the year?

Yes! When you move in for Inbound, you move right into the room you will be in for the academic year. Housing assignments are sent by the Office of Residential Life around the first of August. Please direct all inquiries regarding housing to their office: or (814) 641-3323.
