RIDE ON

Students with bicycles

Grab your helmets! This retreat will focus on Rails to Trails, mountain biking, and more cycling fun! Your group will be challenged to push themselves physically and support each other during miles of biking. You will learn about cycling safety and about trails local to Juniata. You do not need to have your own mountain bike, but are permitted to bring your own. Get ready to ride! This retreat is a great way to learn more about the Bike JC club on campus.

Each retreat will also have the opportunity to mingle with other retreats and participate in larger group activities and programs.

**Keep checking in for updates on the Ride On retreat throughout the spring as we move further along in the planning process.

Meet your Peer Leaders:

Why do you want to be a peer leader?
I want to be a peer leader because I want to be a part of the one-of-a-kind program that Inbound is. I want to share the joy of cycling with incoming freshmen while at the same time getting them acquainted with a new area, new friends, and a new school. I want to be a peer leader because I want to have and share fun!
Fun fact about yourself?
I currently own four different bicycles, and I don’t plan to stop there.
What have been the best extracurricular events you have been a part of at Juniata?
The list is too long to choose from! Juniata organizes all sorts of fun things for the students, from Dogs and Donuts to Cats and Cookies, they keep you entertained. Past that, the selection of clubs has been wonderful. I’ve had an incredible time working to be an integral part of Bike JC, and I hope to do more similar things in the upcoming years.

Why do you want to be a peer leader?
I want to be a peer leader so that I can help incoming freshmen transition into college as easily as I did. My peer leaders were awesome, and really helped me with that, so I would like to help others with the transition as well.
What is the best advice you can give to your Inboundees?
Meet as many people as you can during the first few days. Everyone is looking to make new friends, so don’t close yourself off and hide in your dorm. Get out and have fun!
What have been the best extracurricular events you have been a part of at Juniata?
Mountain Day was a blast, anything with Bike JC has been awesome, and HOSA has enlightened me in my path toward medical school.
