In the late 1980’s, Dave and Rick Griffith bought a large piece of farm property right off of Route 22 in Huntingdon, PA. Both figured they had a few options on what to do with the property, but after weighing out each option a decision was made quite easily. “The decision to start Whitetail Ridge, Inc. was a combination of us bringing our passion for hunting and the outdoors together with the tools that each of us could bring to the business,” said Rick Griffith. “After about two years of research we were ready to get started.”

Whitetail Ridge, Inc. and Griffith Brothers Genetics were created separately, Whitetail Ridge Inc. was first and Griffith Brothers Genetics developed just recently, but they coincide directly. They offer breeders across the nation an opportunity to take semen genetics from some of the largest whitetail deer lines in the nation, while also offering a trophy hunter access to these beautiful animals. Across their 50 acre breeding operation they not only have some of the largest bucks in country, they also have doe fawns, bred does, and un-bred does on the property. Whitetail Ridge, Inc has genetic lines from five different 300 class bucks that provide the genetics needed to continue producing some of the state’s and nations largest bucks.
Whitetail Ridge, Inc. and Griffith Brothers Genetics offer a summer lodge and inn for travelers to the Central Pennsylvania region, while in the winter months the lodge is reserved for all who come out to hunt. While currently in one location, the two companies are currently in the final stages of a joint venture with a firm from Texas to expand into further regions of the United States.
Dave Griffith is also President of the Pennsylvania Deer Farmers Association (PDFA) which serves to preserve, promote, and protect the deer industry.
