Amy has sold the business and it is now SLC Custom Gift Baskets.

Preparing for final exams as a freshman at Juniata College, New Jersey native Amy Albrecht '07 was thrilled to find a “good luck” gift package sold by a national company outside her door as a gift from her parents. Amy was shocked to find out how much her parents paid for the small assortment of treats, many of which were not items she enjoyed.

As a college freshman excited about the prospect of developing her own business, Amy remembered the disappointing gift pack … and Amy’s Creative Touch, LLC was born!

"The business has a good home with the Conaway family who will take the business even farther in the future. Owning a business was a great experience and I anticipate starting another business in the future,” Amy said. “First though, I want to get some real world working experience and additional education, so that I can continue to expand my knowledge on how businesses work."

Initially launched in October 2004, Amy’s Creative Touch, LLC was based out of the Sill Business Incubator. The name Amy’s Custom Gift Baskets was coined in August 2005 as her new website launched. The business developed and expanded - what began as a service providing luxurious gift baskets to hardworking students on the Juniata College campus has evolved into a full-service gift basket business providing high quality products to individual and corporate customers around the country.

Amy used the proceeds from the company to pay for her graduate program at Seton Hall University, where she is pursuing a Master's degree in Public Administration. In the spring of 2007, Amy sold the company to the Conaway family of Huntingdon. The Conaway’s plan to continue running the business into the future. The Conaway’s have renamed the company, SLC Custom Gift Baskets and are located in the Sill Business Incubator.
